All players must be over 16 years of age to participate.

All players on a team must come from the same country.

The open qualifiers will run in a single elimination format.

The closed qualifiers will run in a double elimination format

Do I have to play on a PC?

Online Qualifiers can be played on PC or PS4. The Katowice Event Qualifier and Tokyo Main Event will be played exclusively on PCs. Intel will power all of the live Intel World Open events, as well as the PCs used in the broadcasts and complete backend infrastructure (Tournament Mode / Battle Lounge).


What are the qualifier details for Street Fighter?

National Qualifiers: 12 countries are pre-selected to form national teams. The national qualifiers will take place from March to May. Each National Qualifier consists of two phases:



Open Qualifiers will consist of 2 to 8 tournaments (depending on the size of the country), where the best 8 players from each Open Qualifier will move on to the Closed Qualifier on May 16.
Closed Qualifiers will determine each country’s four best players who will come together and form the team representing that country.



Once the final teams form, they advance to the Live Qualifiers in Katowice, Poland.

Regional Qualifiers: Players outside of the 12 pre-selected countries can participate through the regional qualifier process that will also take place from March to May.Each regional qualifier consists of two phases:



Open qualifiers will consist of 2 to 8 tournaments (depending on the size of the region), where the best 8 teams from each open qualifier will move on to the closed qualifier on May 17.
Closed qualifiers will determine the best team from that region.



In total eight teams will advance to the Live Qualifier in Katowice, Poland through the regional qualifier process.

Live Qualifier in Katowice, Poland: The final qualifier will be held in June in Katowice, Poland and feature four days of team events. 20 teams will compete in a group stage qualifier to determine the strongest team from the Americas, EMEA and APEC regions. The final seven teams will join the Japanese team at the Intel World Open Finals.

Intel World Open Finals: The main event takes place in July 22-24, 2020 at the Zepp DiverCity venue where qualifying teams will participate in a three-day, winner take all tournament. The overall winners will claim their share of the $250,000 USD prize pool.
