The King of Fighters XIII, PS3 / X360 / PC

SNK Playmore recently tossed up a job posting over on their Japanese site for what seems to be two future titles that may be in the works. According to the post, SNK is looking to hire employees to work on a new King of Fighters and a new Samurai Showdown title that aim to be 3D fighters.

The job positions they are currently looking to acquire are 3D CG Designer, Game Programmer and Game Planner.

Details are currently scarce but based on SNK's job listing, we just might be seeing the next King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown games in the full fledged 3D fighting mechanic akin to that of the Tekken and Dead or Alive franchises.

Yup, it’s happening. The King of Fighters XIII is coming to PC via Steam, and you can pre-purchase the game now, saving yourself 17% on the price. The PC version of the game, titled The King of Fighters XIII: Steam Edition, will feature improvements to the game’s Online, Tutorial and Story modes, and will include the “Iori with the Power of Flames,” “Mr. Karate” and “NESTS Style Kyo” DLC from the start. With regard to online multiplayer, SNK Playmore say that The King of Fighters XIII: Steam Edition will feature “vastly improved netcode” with improved communication speeds and the ability to tailor your online experience according to your PC environment. Additionally, a “Graphics Option” feature will allow you to switch between different framerates and simplify backgrounds. The King of Fighters XIII: Steam Edition will be available on September 13th for $30.
